So far this week, work has been a lot less chaotic and I’ve been able to catch up on almost all of my emails. I glance over at Karen, she’s trying to get comfortable at her desk with her big robot foot. Poor cow had the worse luck ever, choking on a chocolate one day and injuring her ankle at paintballing the next. I bet she never wants to go on another team building event again. Ever. I wouldn’t. Jamie must feel awful about it too, I did return the favour though. When she fell, I ran to help her up and onto the minibus. Dirk was beeping the horn like an impatient taxi driver. Embarrassing.

Ben had to cancel Tuesday. One of his kids got taken into hospital with suspected meningitis, poor little love. We are going to rearrange when his son is on the mend, as they still don’t know what’s wrong with him, though thankfully it wasn’t meningitis. Rosie was three when she caught Scarlett fever and that was bad enough. I remember feeling so helpless and scared, I can’t imagine how Ben must be feeling with a very sick child, not knowing what’s wrong. I wish I could be there for him – but we aren’t quite at that stage yet.
